The WEFSA Women’s Voices Anthology (WWVA) chronicles personal stories of women’s experiences in a patriarchal world. Our stories as women do not make the news (that’s not new isn’t it) but there are ways we can package them and send them out into the world. We can create our own spaces where our stories can make the news and WWVA is one of them.

The inaugural issue which is due for publication in 2018 will carry stories under the theme: Education Disruption As a Child Marriage Risk Factor. As opposed to the usual academics or other experts speaking on behalf of survivors, in this issue we are calling for entries from women who ended up getting married because they dropped out of school.

Alternatively, if you have an authentic story of someone close to you who lived through this experience we would also want to hear from you. An honorarium will be paid for chosen entries and contributors will also receive a copy of the anthology as well as an invitation to the anthology launch ceremony.

Furthermore, compelling fiction is also accepted for this edition and it will be marked clearly as such upon publication.
